Leads cloud modernization, governance, security, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives; provides Tier 3 support and root-cause analysis; oversees patching, monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and cost optimization. The role also guides architecture strategy, documents solutions, manages complex infrastructure projects, and mentors team members on hybrid cloud best practices.

Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and security infrastructure across multiple sites. Install and configure network equipment, monitor performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and provide Tier 2/3 support. Maintain documentation, standards, asset inventories, and secure configurations. Support network design, cloud connectivity, SD-WAN, automation, vendor coordination, procurement, and infrastructure projects. The role requires travel, weekend and holiday availability, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in demanding physical environments.

Design, operate, and improve scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and production Kubernetes environments. Build Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation, self-healing systems, and internal engineering tools. Enhance security, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across multi-region, high-traffic distributed systems, including AI-powered operational tooling and agents.

Own production reliability and performance for a healthcare AI platform: define SLIs/SLOs, run incident response and postmortems, build observability and automation, optimize scalability across serverless and container services, and partner with engineering, security, and compliance to improve operational maturity.

Own and scale Nomic's infrastructure stack across multi-account AWS and Kubernetes: rollout orchestration, inference performance (GPU/model serving), CI/CD, IaC, observability, security, disaster recovery, and cost management to support many customer environments at scale.

Design, build, and maintain cloud platform components (primarily AWS). Integrate open-source software, deploy and manage Kubernetes and container tooling, automate OS and infrastructure provisioning, script in Python/Go and Bash, troubleshoot complex systems, and collaborate with architects on strategic objectives in a hybrid environment.

Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities (Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, secrets, identity). Automate infrastructure as code, implement SLO/observability, run on-call incident response, partner with application teams for reliability, security, and cost efficiency, and create self-service developer workflows and runbooks.

Ten-week summer internship in platform/infrastructure engineering. Work with senior engineers on projects involving cloud provisioning, Kubernetes, GitOps, networking and OS performance, multicast market data, and automation to take systems from research to production.
