Lead U.S. state and local tax strategy, compliance, and audit defense across direct and indirect taxes. Partner with Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Revenue to ensure correct tax configuration, drive automation and AI initiatives, manage SALT audits, advise on contracts/pricing, and mentor the tax team while implementing tax technology improvements.

Own Marketing Finance end-to-end as the primary finance partner to Marketing leadership: manage headcount and program spend, build top-of-funnel and pipeline models for planning and forecasting, design ROI and efficiency frameworks, deliver insight-driven reporting, and collaborate with Data and RevOps to create measurement infrastructure. Start as an IC with a clear path to hire and lead a team. Must be full-time onsite in SF or NY.

Own end-to-end accounting and close for a multi-entity crypto and fiat business. Maintain GL, reconciliations (crypto and fiat), intercompany, controls, and audit-ready documentation. Produce management reporting, cash/treasury visibility, budgeting/forecasting support, and coordinate with external advisors and auditors.

Lead FP&A and Strategic Finance Analyst owning headcount forecasting, departmental budgeting, variance analysis, GTM analytics, commission design, and scalable reporting. Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance to build trusted models, dashboards, and decision support using SQL, spreadsheets, AI tools, and clear presentations.

Lead and build Exa's finance function from scratch: establish controls, in-house accounting, and a finance team; own FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting; partner with GTM and Engineering on pricing, unit economics, and compute cost management; own capital allocation, treasury, investor reporting, and fundraising preparation.

Lead development and validation of multi-state tax documentation and datasets for AI systems. Prepare and review SALT returns, apportionment schedules, nexus analyses, and state-specific workpapers. Conduct multi-jurisdictional research, monitor law updates, and convert tax concepts into machine-readable formats. Collaborate with data and engineering teams and provide expert feedback to improve AI-generated tax outputs and ensure data integrity.
