The Out of Production Systems Design Engineering Manager leads engineering teams to ensure safety, reliability, and sustainment of aircraft and systems no longer in production, overseeing multiple projects and managing resources.

Manage and develop a team of electrical engineers to deliver electrical systems and wiring/harness design across the product lifecycle. Develop, integrate, and test real-time embedded software for the F-15 Operational Flight Program. Design and document architectures, algorithms, interfaces and verification plans; implement code, execute tests, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate on multi-discipline Agile teams. Support integration with aircraft subsystems and maintain software for USAF and international customers.

Designs and validates electromagnetic and electronic warfare requirements and architectures; performs trade studies, modeling, simulation, and testing; integrates components into platforms; manages supplier performance; conducts root-cause analysis and verification; supports program management and proposal writing.

Design, migrate, and optimize enterprise COTS applications to public cloud environments. Build and maintain Terraform IaC, integrate edge compute, manage vendor licensing and security egress, standardize dev/test/prod environments, and tune cloud resources to meet vendor performance requirements while collaborating with DevSecOps, SRE, and security teams.

Provide engineering support for scheduled and unscheduled field and depot maintenance of the E-4B, interpret 747-200 engineering drawings, evaluate component repair/procurement, analyze maintenance requirements and documents, recommend changes to USAF technical orders, support shipside depot liaison, develop build plans and lessons learned, and analyze non-conformance reports.

Lead mass properties estimation, weight tracking, and balance analysis for aerospace vehicles. Develop, validate, and maintain weight and inertial accounting systems, perform design trades, and support cross-functional teams using 3D CAD and model-based engineering tools. Drive weight control, generate technical reports, and implement process improvements to meet program objectives and safety requirements.

Lead a software applications and tools engineering team supporting, maintaining, and enhancing critical engineering tools. Manage staff, suppliers, policies, technical approaches, process improvements, resource acquisition, and stakeholder relationships. Oversee technical approvals, develop business plans, and motivate employee development. Role requires active Secret clearance and may involve up to 10% travel.

Design, analyze, test, and sustain satellite electrical power and harness subsystems. Define requirements, perform battery and bus analyses, create power budgets, lead architecture and sizing, develop harness pin assignments, support integration/testing, lead RCA investigations, provide inputs to flight software/operations, and support launch/mission readiness and on-orbit anomaly resolution.

Provide technical DE/PLM process and application support for engineering and manufacturing teams. Troubleshoot Teamcenter/NX issues, design and roll out DE tool capabilities, manage data migrations, capture cross-functional requirements, improve data integrity, deliver engineering data to suppliers/customers, and support Model-Based Engineering and manufacturing workflows within a multidisciplinary program team.
