Lead the technical vision and architecture of Coinbase’s FinHub financial infrastructure, including ledger, account balances, money movement, settlements, transfers, and transaction history. Drive distributed-system rearchitecture with double-entry accounting, idempotency, reconciliation, auditability, and resilient failure recovery. Lead cross-team initiatives, migrations, and technical strategy while partnering with product, finance, risk, compliance, and operations stakeholders. Provides technical and functional mentorship, oversees Workday operations, drives automation, upgrades, process improvements, testing, and implementations. Partners with stakeholders, security teams, vendors, and geographically distributed teams to deliver secure, scalable HR technology solutions. Manages vendor RFPs and relationships while coordinating technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Build and operate a stablecoin payment rail for merchant checkout, subscriptions, refunds, reconciliation, and onchain settlement. Deliver full-stack features across Go services and React/Next.js interfaces, including APIs, protobufs, database migrations, wallet connectivity, and durable Temporal workflows. Improve accessibility, conversion, performance, and observability through logs, metrics, and traces. Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase’s developer platform.

Lead frontend development for Coinbase identity experiences including login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication. Own projects from design through deployment and monitoring, guide Native versus Webview architecture, author technical designs, resolve systemic technical debt, lead on-call and incident response, and mentor engineers.

Own the design, development, and automation of Coinbase’s routing infrastructure connecting services to Kubernetes backends. Build scalable capabilities using Envoy, Istio, Ambient Mesh, and SPIFFE; improve routing latency, reliability, and performance; enhance developer tooling with responsible AI; and collaborate with security, reliability, and observability teams to resolve complex distributed-systems issues.

Design, build, and operate backend Go services and smart contracts that mint, burn, bridge, and reconcile wrapped assets across multiple chains. Own end-to-end delivery from smart contract deployment through API design, SLOs, and production rollout. Drive asset migration pipeline improvements, run on-call operations, build observability and runbooks, and mentor junior engineers.

Design and deliver blockchain network infrastructure and platform APIs, lead multi-quarter initiatives (chain integrations, re-architecture, data migrations), define APIs/SLOs/observability and on-call ownership, ship SDKs and platform primitives, establish data contracts, and simplify cross-chain operations to enable analytics, ML, and data engineering teams.

Lead front-end technical strategy for Coinbase Advanced trading platform: define and execute a scalable roadmap, deliver a low-latency interface across web and mobile, mentor engineers, anchor complex projects, and ensure high standards for code quality and system design.

Lead architecture and delivery of Control Center platform capabilities (MCP tool registries, AI orchestration, access automation). Design agentic AI integrations, HITL workflows, and evaluation/guardrail frameworks. Own backend services, SLOs, observability, incident response, and operational readiness for Tier-1 systems. Drive cross-team technical direction, author TDDs, run design reviews, mentor engineers, and partner with Product and Security to deliver secure, scalable platform primitives.
