Provide hands-on technical consultancy and solution guidance to APJ customers using GitLab for DevSecOps workflows. Drive product adoption, implementation success, renewals, and expansion through architectural guidance, workshops, demos, and enablement. Partner with account teams, manage multiple customer engagements, document best practices, mentor customers and colleagues, and communicate effectively in a remote, asynchronous environment. The role requires fluency in Japanese and English and full working rights in Japan.

Manage customer renewals for GitLab’s B2B software subscriptions by driving retention, minimizing churn, evaluating usage, preparing renewal quotes, coordinating purchase orders and approvals, and closing renewals on time. The role supports Renewals Managers and Account Executives while collaborating with Sales and Customer Success teams. Success requires effective communication, negotiation, presentation, closing skills, and experience with subscription-based customer success or renewals processes.

Leads GitLab’s EMEA Customer Success Management and Customer Success Engineering organizations. Sets regional strategy, integrates relationship and technical teams, drives adoption and measurable outcomes, oversees customer health, renewals and expansion support, improves operational performance, and develops distributed leadership teams. Partners cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Support, and Marketing to deliver consistent enterprise customer value.

Own operational processes, reporting, and programs for Customer Success Management. Translate ambiguous leadership questions into solutions, improve processes end-to-end, partner with Revenue Technology/Analytics, support planning (capacity, segmentation, territory), and drive cross-functional alignment with Sales and Finance to scale CS operations.

Advise enterprise customers on GitLab adoption, DevSecOps practices, Git workflows, CI/CD, and platform maturity. Own a customer portfolio, develop success plans, lead technical workshops and Accelerator programs, coordinate escalations across internal teams, analyze usage signals, and drive adoption, retention, expansion, and customer satisfaction.

Provide post-sales technical expertise to help customers adopt GitLab via webinars, labs, workshops, and consultative engagements. Collaborate with CSMs, AEs, and renewals to support implementations, architecture, CI/CD, SCM, DevSecOps, and Agile Planning. Create reusable enablement content and maintain specialty competency.

Serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of customers to drive adoption and measurable outcomes with GitLab. Provide deployment guidance, lead workshops and Centers of Excellence, translate product usage data into actionable recommendations, monitor KPIs, manage regular touchpoints per SLAs, and collaborate cross-functionally to align on customer success and expansion plans.

Serve as a trusted, technical post-sales advisor to drive GitLab adoption, retention, and growth. Own customer books, build success plans, guide DevSecOps best practices, coordinate escalations with Support/Product/Engineering, onboard customers, and recommend training to achieve business outcomes.

Manage a portfolio of U.S. public sector accounts to drive adoption, retention, expansion, and satisfaction of the GitLab DevSecOps platform. Translate pre-sales plans into measurable objectives, coach customers on Git, CI/CD, and DevSecOps best practices, coordinate cross-functional responses, and use project management to deliver customer enablement and success initiatives.

Lead and coach a team of Customer Success Managers across EMEA to drive adoption, retention, and expansion. Set goals, manage staffing and performance, build senior-level customer relationships, partner with Product and Engineering, oversee OKRs, improve processes and tools, and represent GitLab leadership while ensuring operational excellence.
