GHD’s WA Environment business has an opportunity for a Zoologist to join our Ecology team in Perth.
Our Environment business has maintained strong growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a leader in impact assessment and approvals, terrestrial ecology, marine, air and noise assessments services.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Developing proposals and supporting project delivery
- Delivery and accountability for small to medium biological projects
- Field surveys across Western Australia
- Provision of technical reports and data packages
What you will bring to the team:
- A firm interest in ecology and an understanding of current environment issues and Commonwealth and WA legislation
- Previous record in the technical delivery of fauna and ecology surveys and assessments in WA preferred, with ideally at least 2 years relevant ecological/zoological experience
- Willingness and motivation to complete field survey and work in a supportive team environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
- Bachelor’s degree qualifications in an environmental science, ecology discipline or relevant tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated skills in fauna identification preferred with desire to learn from experienced senior staff to build your knowledge
- Ability to undertake field work throughout WA in various environments and sometimes remote locations for various periods of time. GHD offer a supportive time in lieu arrangement or overtime payment for all additional hours worked in the field
- Experience in data management and report writing
- To be successful you will need to be a collaborative and cooperative team member with strong communications skills and a focus on clients
Relocation to WA from within Australia will be considered.

Skills Required
