Days and Shift Information

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Outbound truck flow may require staying beyond scheduled end time as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the safety compliance of over-the-road contract truck drivers picking up at the Cofield location, ensuring proper PPE usage and adherence to site safety protocols.
• Follow all outbound shipment safety and quality control procedures, including verification of tag numbers, proper blocking, and shipment specifications.
• Assist with load adjustments to ensure safe and accurate outbound shipments.
• Operate, or learn to operate, Taylor 550 forklifts, skid steers, and potentially yard trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Support overall yard operations, including yard clean-up and completion of additional tasks assigned by the Yard Manager or Site Manager.

Work Environment

• Outdoor and industrial yard environment
• Regular exposure to heavy equipment, moving vehicles, and varying weather conditions
• Requires adherence to strict safety standards and protocols

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Previous experience in quality control or yard operations preferred
• Experience operating Taylor 550 forklifts is a plus
• Willingness to learn and operate forklifts, skid steers, and yard trucks
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and material handling procedures

Pay/Benefits/Perks

• Base salary $18-$19 /hr
• Accrue up to five days PTO in first year. Two-weeks vacation, plus one week PTO accrue on first anniversary
