This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

The profile we are looking for will work in the Commont Architecture, Tool, and Methodologies Practice, is an experienced and enthusiast

SW Application engineer passionate about architecting complex software applications, expert in SW development best practices, curious in framework scouting, assessment, prototyping, and keen to standardization.

During his daily activities:

  • Will be responsible for interacting with R&D technical stakeholders to support the adoption of new technologies, harmonize frameworks and components across R&D teams, and in the long term reduce commercial dependencies on 3rd party components.
  • Will be in charge of providing guidelines, and technological artifacts and supporting the transition of legacy applications (typically application server-based) toward native microservice SW paradigm
  • A special focus will be on UI technologies with the possibility to reuse standard controls and apply unified experience across the full CTG portfolio
  • Will be in charge of identifying across the organization packages able to be easily reused and to secure their adoption across different groups
  • Will support the enabling of ML/AI adoption in CTG portfolio by identifying the proper SW components and providing guidelines for the onboarding across different teams
  • Will be able to harmonize sizing criteria across the portfolio and to provide R&D teams with proper benchmarking techniques
  • Will design and share across CTG product organization blueprint for Cloud Architecture, including supporting service configuration for unified supportability, observability, KPI, K8S operators adoption, etc.
  • Will help to spread the cloud architecture principles as fundamental to CTG technological core skill set.
  • On-demand can be engaged in customer meetings to provide trusted advisors with professional opinions on SW architectures.
  • Contribute to the growth of the team as a central focal point for CTG Software technology improvement objectives and maintain good relationships with team members.
  • Understand the company's and business unit's strategy.
  • Can Participates in chosen technical community or profession, and regularly attends profession or community of interest events.
  • The job is in an international context and requires fluent English.
  • As part of a WW team with cross-domain interactions, US location is not mandatory and alternative locations will be considered as well
  • Although not strictly related to the role, the candidate shall be available to travel if required for special events or customer meetings.

Education and Experience Required:

  • At least 12 years of technical experience and an Associate of Engineering/Science or equivalent degree (minimum three-year college program) in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional year of relevant technical experience (12-15 years in total).

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • The person we are looking for is passionate about technology and innovation, capable of building solid partnerships with colleagues to provide technical leadership in key SW engineering choices
  • He/She will be in a position to drive solutions and act in advance to envision, design, and deliver innovative solutions.

The following technical skills are positively evaluated

  • Experience on the design of complex SW architectures
  • Proved experience on Cloud SW technologies (Docker, K8S, Helm) and related architectural components (ELK, Prometheus, Graphana, etc)
  • Experience on Public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experienced in UI technological frameworks (Angular-based)
  • Knowledge of ML/AI technologies
  • CI CD technologies, test automation techniques, and artifacts (GitOps/Gitlab, Jenkins, Terraform, Jfrog,others
  • Able to properly and clearly communicate concepts with team, peers, and customers
  • Demonstrates understanding of the assigned discipline or technical area.
  • Work with the proper due discipline to reach objectives
