Workspace ONE Consultant

Summary:

Synterex, Inc. is a global consortium of highly experienced clinical development professionals specializing in medical writing, submission publishing, Information Technology, and clinical science and operations support. Synterex offers remote or on-site services, with a focus on providing clear, concise, accurate, and fully compliant documentation, from early drug development through post-approval. 

This role is responsible for projects focusing on Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) installations for customers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to accommodate a variety of skill levels.

This is a project-based consulting position.

Location:

Fully remote but must be able to attend key (e.g., business development, trade show, or roundtable or kickoff) meetings with clients as requested.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Configure/install/troubleshoot various software issues related to the installation and maintenance of VMware Workspace ONE UEM products.
• Act as a proactive resource for clients by identifying new features and updates of mobile technology in general and of the Workspace ONE platform specifically.
• Provide detailed documentation whenever necessary for customers.
• Provide courteous and prompt support to customers.
• Setup, configure and install new Workspace ONE instances.
• Support existing Workspace ONE customers with troubleshooting, upgrades and general questions.
• Familiarity with and interest in mobile devices is a must (iOS, Android, Mac OS, Windows 10, etc.).
• Research, evaluate and recommend new or upgraded hardware/software to ensure proper operation and performance for customers.
• Work with vendors for product enhancement announcements and other issues.
• Utilize basic network skills to help in solving customer UEM issues.
• Be able to identify, access and use resources for troubleshooting and continued education (internet, webinars, etc.).

Qualifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) for Digital Workspace or Desktop Mobility.
• 5 years of experience with Workspace ONE UEM.
• 2 years of experience with IDPs like Ping or Okta.
• 2-5 years of experience with Office 365.
• 5 years of system administrator or architect experience, with technologies like Windows Server, DHCP, DNS, load balancing, basic networking, proxies, certificate authorities, and VPN.
• 2 years of experience with Unified Access Gateways
• 2-5 years of experience with VMware Horizon is ideal but not required.
• Strong desktop and server knowledge for troubleshooting are required.
• Familiarity with Workspace ONE Access and VMware Horizon preferred.
