About the Role
We are seeking an
experienced and results-driven Workshop Manager with Ford dealership
experience to lead our service workshop in Witbank/Middelburg. This is a key leadership role
responsible for driving operational excellence, profitability, and customer
satisfaction while ensuring compliance with Ford standards.
Responsibilities Include:
Workshop Operations
- Oversee daily workshop operations,
ensuring efficient workflow and job allocation
- Ensure all servicing and repairs are
completed to the highest quality and Ford standards
- Monitor turnaround times, productivity,
and efficiency
Financial Performance
- Drive workshop profitability and achieve
revenue targets
- Monitor labour efficiency, recovery
rates, and cost control
- Ensure accurate job costing and
maximisation of billable hours
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of
technicians, foremen, and support staff
- Manage performance, training, and
ongoing development
- Foster a high-performance,
customer-focused culture
Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and
high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle and resolve escalated customer
concerns professionally
Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with health and
safety regulations
- Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop
environment
Technical & Manufacturer
Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with Ford
technical standards and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ford
systems, tools, and technologies
- Manage warranty processes in line with
Ford requirements

Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Workshop
Manager or Senior Workshop Supervisor within a Ford dealership (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Ford diagnostic systems, warranty processes, and
technical standards
- Relevant automotive trade qualification (Ford certification advantageous)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Sound financial and business acumen
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Strong customer service and
communication skills
