A Better Opportunity


Better is looking for an experienced Workplace professional to oversee our New York, Charlotte, Detroit, Dallas and Irvine office operations and onsite workplace staff. We are seeking a resourceful and reliable candidate to play a key role in shaping our environment, and creating a positive, productive, and welcoming atmosphere for all employees and guests. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of office operations for Better locations, including maintaining facilities and office inventory, as well as overseeing reception and concierge services
  • Manage with Facilities the daily tasks such as mail, shipping, lunch deliveries, culture activations, etc. 
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and building management as well as cross-functional partnerships with Better stakeholders and collaborators 
  • Work with Corporate Real Estate, Workplace and Design team to support and execute company and office-wide redesigns, relocations, renovations and other special space projects 
  • Keep workplace records and systems current and accurate, to maintain and understand data and trends on spend, space usage, employee engagement, etc. 
  • Overall, support all office functions to keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment 
  • Report on spend monthly and provide input on issues and opportunities for innovation 
  • Field and resolve all Workplace service tickets 
  • Handle all office supplies and food ordering, keeping orders within or under budget 
  • Plan and execute local culture initiatives, including office events and employee experiences i.e., happy hours, etc. 
  • Own the employee onboarding and offboarding cycles for the Workplace team, including badge access 
  • Overall, support the corporate vision of culture, hospitality, and service initiatives to ensure an exemplary employee experience across departments 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3-5 years in related field 
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills 
  • Familiarity with project management tools and best practices 
  • Incredibly proactive and does not require micro-management 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and anticipate potential problems before they arise 
  • Humility and accountability 
  • Agile work environment experience 
  • Ability to travel 20% to other office locations
