Xometry is seeking an experienced Workday Systems Lead Consultant to drive the end-to-end implementation of Workday across our organization. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused engagement for a proven Workday practitioner who has led at least one full implementation from design through go-live. The consultant will serve as the primary systems lead, partnering closely with HR, IT, Finance, and external implementation partners (SI) to ensure a successful, on-time phased launches between Q1-Q3 2027.
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious and a strategic problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and navigating ambiguity. You'll partner across Talent Operations, Benefits & Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Finance, IT, and beyond to advise stakeholders and ensure the system we build is scalable, well-governed in diverse US and international regions, and a true business enabler — one that reflects Xometry's culture as much as its process requirements.
This is a 1-year contract role, with the core deliverable being a full Workday implementation.
How You’ll Contribute:Global Tenant Implementation
- Serve as the internal systems lead for the full global Workday implementation, owning the project from a technical configuration standpoint
- Partner with the SI and Project Team to gather requirements from Functional Teams and translate them into Workday configuration
- Participate in design and lead configuration of Xometry's global Workday tenant across Core HCM, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Learning powered by Sana, Peakon, Recruiting, US Payroll, Workday Help, and Workforce Planning
- Configure and support the tenant across multiple regions — including the US, EMEA, China, and India — accounting for local statutory, regulatory, and business process requirements within a single global framework
- Help establish sound data structures, business process design, security frameworks, and system governance for international regions and diverse worker types
Execution & Ownership
- Partner with SI on configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and defect resolution cycles ahead of go-live
- Manage data conversion and validation activities, working with functional teams to ensure data integrity and completing implementation workbooks
- Design and configure security groups, business processes, and workflows aligned to Xometry's org structure
- Participate in the design of and troubleshoot system integrations connecting Workday to downstream platforms (e.g., Looker, ERP, international payroll), ensuring data flows are accurate, timely, and well-governed
- Provide go-live support and post-go-live
Knowledge & Change Management
- Support change management and end-user training in partnership with HR/People Ops, functional leads, and change champions
- Act as a knowledge-transfer resource to internal staff who will support Workday post-implementation
- Provide regular status updates to project sponsors and leadership on timeline, risks, and issues
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration/consulting experience
- Proven experience leading or serving as a lead systems consultant on at least one full global Workday implementation with functional and configuration experience across several of the following modules: Core HCM, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Learning powered by Sana, Peakon, Recruiting, US Payroll, Workday Help, and Workforce Planning
- Solid understanding of US and international Workday configuration, with hands-on experience supporting multiple regions — especially the US, EMEA, China, and India — including region-specific business processes, statutory requirements, and localization considerations
- Experience integrating Workday with downstream platforms, including experience with Workday integration tools and patterns (EIBs, Workday Studio, and Workday Web Services) and typical HR integration partners (benefits providers, international payroll, Finance and IT systems)
- Experience working with Workday’s report writer, dashboards, and advanced reporting tools, as well as integrations with data management and dashboarding platforms like Snowflake/Looker
- Experience managing data conversion and validation for a full implementation
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders, translating requirements into system design
- Experience partnering with a third-party SI/implementation partner in a co-lead capacity preferred
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects forward independently in fast-paced, evolving environments

The estimated salary range for this role is $140,000-160,000 annually depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location. This is a 1-year contract role.
