Job Summary
As a Workday Integrations Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems and services. You will leverage your extensive experience in software engineering and Workday domain expertise to build robust, scalable, and efficient integration solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architecting integration solutions, and ensuring their successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform solution assessments across Workday integration technologies, which may include technology interactions (i.e. Studio; Extend + Orchestrations; etc). Architect and design solutions using an iterative, test-driven methodology, writing unit tests and performing validation using contemporary tools in partnership with Workday consulting partner. Investigate and understand business problems to be solved, leading or participating in requirements gathering in partnership with Workday consult partner.
- Assist customer integrations with the HRIS/Workday configurations team to thoroughly evaluate, communicate, and coordinate the technical impacts of associated configuration decisions for strategic customers.
- Design and build complex, scalable integrations using the suite of Workday Integration technologies (Reports-as-a-Service, EIB, Document Transformation, Connectors, Workday Web Services API, and Workday REST API) across Workday modules.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain custom applications integrating with Workday using related technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, Python, etc. Build and automate the deployment of components/solutions into production, ensuring production-ready code.
- Thoroughly test integrations through unit testing and integration testing efforts. Design and implement robust error-handling mechanisms to ensure appropriate logging and alerting. Debug and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide resolutions.
- Analyze the current integration landscape to identify and address technical debt as it relates to functionality, performance, error handling, and scalability. Stay updated on Workday trends and upcoming features, providing technical input on optional features.
Skills and Background You’ll Need
- EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED is required.
- EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of demonstrated Workday integration development experience using Workday’s integration tools (i.e., Reports-as-a-Service, Enterprise Interface Builder, Document Transformation, Connectors, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in Workday Reporting, Integration, Business Process, and Security Frameworks.
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages and platforms, including Java, Angular, HTML5, REST, and data platforms. Familiarity with developing applications and services in the cloud (Azure).
- Thought leadership on Workday integration across the entire enterprise.
- Ability to collaborate in a matrix team of business, IT, and product resources. Lead technically at a senior level, working effectively in a multi-vendor, on and off-shore model.
- Experience working with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to creatively and quickly adapt to various situations or priorities.
Preferred:
- 7+ years of extensive experience working with the following Workday modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, US Payroll, Absence Management, and Time Tracking.
- Strong experience using XSLT to transform XML data from Workday reports and WS responses.
- Strong experience using industry-standard web services technology, which encompasses WSDL, SOAP, REST, and the WS-* standards.
- 2+ years of experience in Workday Extend development.
- Workday Pro certifications in Integration Administration/Workday Studio.
- Experience with a group benefits carrier integrating benefits to client Workday systems.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

Salary Range:
$125,500.00 - $213,250.00
