Summary:
In addition to meeting the necessary qualifications the selected candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment supporting US military bases throughout Japan, including Okinawa. This position will support a General Services Administration (GSA) contract for Global Supply Logistics Operations Solutions Support Services in the Japan Area of Operation (AOR).
Performance Location: The individual filling this position will be supporting Amentum on a contract by GSA and working with Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) customers across Japan, including Okinawa.
Working Environment: Typical office environment with occasional visits to the warehouse that may include hazardous materials, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking. Constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Work Schedule: This position works eight hours per day, five days per week minimum at an hourly rate. This is a hybrid position where in-person attendance is required 2-3 days per week. Occasional participation in training scheduled during US/CONUS hours of operations may be required
Position Responsibilities:
- Works independently and professionally with minimal supervision under the direction of Customer Service Manager and Operations Manager
- Assists in managing, processing, researching, and resolving customer orders and inquiries
- Receives, processes, schedules and monitors customer orders
- Assists with follow ups to the customer, follow ups with suppliers and record keeping of all communication
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating deliveries to customers
- Perform general office administrative duties such as preparing reports, tables, summaries and other documents using standard office software
- Performs and monitors transactions and generates reports in one or more automated ERP/inventory management systems
- Perform other duties as assigned

- 1 year work experience or exposure to Quality, Safety, Administration or Maintenance processes

- Primary communication is in English

- Candidate must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 12 months remaining to expiration date, if not currently a resident of Japan

- Company will assist applicant in obtaining access to customer work site if required.
- Applicant may be required to apply and be accepted for a DBIDS enrollment and identification issuance SOFA dependents will be required to hold Contractor Identification IAW Installation Access Control policies.
- Position does not typically require the applicant to drive in the performance of work duties. If applicant is eligible to operate a Company provided vehicle the applicant must be legally authorized to operate a vehicle safely in the Country of Japan
Transportation is not provided to locally hired personnel for the purpose of commute to and from the workplace.
