Job Description

Wolt License Services (WLS) is Wolt’s internal payments compliance organization, enabling Wolt to provide efficient and reliable payment services to the benefit of our platform stakeholders. At the moment, WLS handles all merchant payment flows in our 21 markets and ensures compliance with various regulatory requirements, such as AML, KYC, and safeguarding of customers’ funds. As a supervised e-money institution, we have heavy requirements on us while we aim to have the most streamlined, structured, and customer-friendly processes, providing value to our clients, partners, and Wolt group.

Reporting to the WLS Finance Manager, the Finance analyst plays an important role in running and developing frictionless, controlled, and smooth payment processes. Covering 21 markets and having tens of millions of euros flowing through WLS’s accounts on a daily basis, this role is critical and provides a great opportunity to get a deep understanding of payment institution functions. Supporting our Finance Manager and Financial Controller, the Finance Analyst helps ensure that we stay on top of our various financial responsibilities in close co-operation with WLS’s main internal outsourcing partners Finance, Treasury, and Product teams.

Excited by the growth and continuous progress of the payment institution business, an analytical mindset, passion for numbers, and an eye for detail go a long way. On top of the number crunching and process orientation, this role involves building and maintaining successful relationships with internal stakeholders both in HQ and local teams. Furthermore, there are other hands-on financial and operational tasks, so the ability to manage multiple priorities while working autonomously and meticulously is a must.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Ensure efficiency of our daily payment processes: monitor, analyze, and forecast daily payment transaction flows in all active markets to secure sufficient liquidity and uninterrupted financial and payment processes
  • Provide insights and analysis of payments and transactions to WLS and Finance teams
  • Together with the Finance Manager, ensure the maximal efficiency of our processes and constantly look for improved ways to manage our tasks and responsibilities, collecting feedback and prioritizing tasks together with Finance, Treasury, and Product
  • Proactively flag potential issues and improvement areas to WLS, Finance, and Product teams, facilitate planning of corrective actions when necessary together with the Finance Manager
  • Document and develop payment processes together with the rest of the WLS and Finance team

Qualifications

  • Highly detail-oriented and results-focused, able to manage routine tasks as well as ad-hoc tasks and wider initiatives
  • Passionate about developing, implementing, and running efficient financial processes hands-on
  • Previous work experience and proven track record in a role that requires analytical and process skills, detail orientation a,nd processing large amounts of data
  • Previous work experience in a financial role or with business intelligence tools is considered as advantage but is not a must
  • Degree or late-phase studies in finance, accounting, or similar
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Demonstrable experience in autonomous problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, knowing another European language is an advantage
