Responsibilities
- Automate Windows server and workstation build, configuration, deployment, and administration tasks using PowerShell and Python
- Help us configure and run Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and CA services reliably in a highly dynamic environment
- Build out an Infrastructure as Code approach to configuring and managing systems using tools like PowerShell DSC
- Harden our security technical infrastructure to ensure that our teams are ready to respond to the markets at a moment’s notice
- Help us build and maintain firm-wide disaster recovery and continuity plans, particularly focusing on systematically maintaining gold copy backups of important data
- Manage our trade and support workstations as the need arises, including purchasing, provisioning, configuring, troubleshooting, replacing, and liaising with third-party vendors
- Manage our network equipment and servers, including periodic cabling, replacing, and racking equipment in our on-site server room
- Document both new and established procedures to establish and promote best practices throughout the company
Requirements
- IT-related education or experience
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server operating systems complex Active Directory, Group Policies, and Certificate Services, WSUS
- Understanding of Windows DNS and DHCP services and GPO
- Good high-level knowledge of Windows troubleshooting (Active Directory, logs, services)
- Experience with Windows based tools and software troubleshooting (Excel, Python, MySQL, Anaconda)
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn programming (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Hands-on experience (or good manual skills) with cabling, racking and installation of bare metal servers, networking devices and network cards (HP, Cisco)
- Experience in developing and maintaining monitoring automation (Icinga2) a plus
- Understanding of automated provisioning tools (PXE, Foreman) a plus
- Experience in managing and server configuration automation (Ansible) a plus
- Good general IT technical skills
- This position requires physical presence and is on-site (no remote working)
