Greenvolt Power is seeking a Senior Wind Project Manager in Bucharest who will be required to project guidelines and standards to ensure their development and construction run smoothly, meet company quality standards, and meet deadlines and financial objectives.
Key accountabilities
- Directing and managing the day-to-day operations, including planning, organizing, and directing projects reaching COD status
- Negotiate effectively with internal teams, business partners, consultees, contractors, and Government officials to achieve project milestones consistent with defined timetables and strict financial objectives.
- Supervising the project management process to ensure work meets quality standards and falls within established deadlines and budgets.
- Leading, providing guidance and support to project managers throughout the project development and construction.
- Developing project management methodology and tools that can be used across multiple projects.
- Identifying potential risks involved in the project and developing plans to mitigate them.
- Reporting and preparing information for the Directors of the Board for all aspects of the projects including project progress, budget management, project timelines, resources, etc.
- Support in the negotiation of Supply, EPC, O&M contracts.
- Represent the company interests among the stakeholders and business decision forums including all levels of local and National Government.
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of long-term relationships with stakeholders.
- Support financial modeling and investment case preparation with internal teams
- Ensure alignment of project execution with company strategy and financial goals.
- Coordinate environmental and technical studies, including wind assessments, EIAs, noise studies, etc.
- Strong knowledge of permitting procedures and regulatory requirements for wind energy projects, including environmental, construction, and grid connection permits.
- Oversee grid connection strategy and process, working closely with TSOs/DSOs
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related. MBA would be appreciated;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, construction, and project management with a strong background in renewable energies;
- Experience or understanding of the energy regulatory environment within European markets, external stakeholder management, public and regulatory affairs, and lobbying;
- Good knowledge of English language;
- Traveling required
- Strong communication and negotiation skills required;
- Good project management skills;
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
