🌟 Now Hiring: Full-Time WIC Nutritionist (35 hours/week) – Stamford, CT

Step into a role where your expertise directly impacts families every single day. As a WIC Nutritionist, you’ll empower participants with the knowledge and support they need to make healthy choices for themselves and their children.

💼 What You’ll Be Doing

In this dynamic and rewarding role, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify participant needs

  • Provide personalized nutrition education, counseling, and breastfeeding support

  • Help families set and achieve realistic health and nutrition goals

  • Tailor WIC food packages based on individual needs and guidelines

  • Ensure accurate certification and compliance with program standards

  • Collaborate with healthcare and social service providers through referrals

  • Maintain accurate documentation using the CT-WIC system

  • Promote breastfeeding as the preferred infant feeding method

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

🎓 What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field (advanced degree or dietetic internship may substitute for experience)

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or community setting (preferred)

  • Strong computer and data entry skills

Skills That Make You Shine:

  • Excellent communication—both one-on-one and in group settings

  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations

  • Ability to educate, motivate, and connect with families

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Bilingual skills

  • Lactation Consultant certification
