Supports WIC client flow by greeting participants, scheduling appointments, explaining program benefits and policies, verifying identity, residency, income, and categorical eligibility, entering data into CT-WIC, issuing eWIC cards and food benefits, maintaining records, making referrals, and conducting participant outreach. Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while providing courteous service, confidentiality, breastfeeding support, and accurate follow-up.

Supports WIC participant eligibility and program services by greeting clients, answering questions, scheduling appointments, verifying identity, residency, income, and category eligibility, entering data in CT-WIC, issuing benefits and eWIC cards, maintaining records, completing follow-up calls, and making referrals to Medicaid, SNAP, and other services. Provides participant education, breastfeeding support, outreach assistance, and respectful, confidential customer service while following federal and state regulations.

Conduct nutrition assessments, provide individualized nutrition education and breastfeeding support, tailor WIC food packages, certify participants, maintain CT-WIC documentation, make referrals, and help families achieve health goals. The role requires collaboration with healthcare and social service providers, cultural sensitivity, strong communication, and accurate data entry.
