About your team

Wholesale Sales is a core department in Japan distribution division. The team is responsible for establishing and growing profitable business with Japanese distribution partners such as banks, brokers, trust banks, online brokers, and domestic asset managers. Business Development (BD) team in particular is in charge of new business development at Wholesale by engaging with head quarter of those distributors. The BD team is also responsible for secondary sales efforts for existing products and collaboration with Fund Promotion (FP) team, Marketing, and Product team is necessary to achieve this goal.

 


About your role
This is the key sales role within Business Development (BD) team of Wholesale Sales Department, responsible for leading new business development i.e., mandate hunting and building holistic relationship with key clients. BD Sales need to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to grow our business so team work mentality is critical to drive the business. Below is the list of key responsibilities for this role.

  • Build and leverage relationship with distribution partners from senior executive level to the ground level.

  • Secure new mandate from key client and lead new fund launch and promotion project.

  • Plan and deliver sales strategy to achieve net sales target.

  • Understand client needs in deep and communicate with Product team and Investment Management team to better serve our clients.

  • Continue to learn investment capabilities, capital market, and Fidelity’s global business.

 

 

About you

  • Sales or product development/management experience in Asset Management industry at least 5 years.

  • Deep understanding of the investment products and sales practice of the industry are required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, sales skill sets and leadership are required.

  • Verbal and written fluency in English to communicate with stakeholders in global offices.

  • CMA, CFA, or MBA degree are preferable.
