WGL - Supervisor Gate Station Operations
Position Summary
Responsible for leading the daily activities of Gate Station operations. Supervises the proper operation, maintenance and installation of Gate Station facilities, as well as instrumentation and process support at other Gas Supply Operations facilities. Requires the ability to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies.
You Will:
• Serves as an expert in the operation and performance of responsible gate station facilities.
• Oversees the completion of all regularly scheduled maintenance activities for responsible facilities.
• Prioritizes and oversees all corrective and emergency response activities for responsible facilities.
• Determines and oversees the daily work assignments, schedules and priorities for direct reports.
• Supervises Gate Station Technicians and Electricians, including hiring, evaluating, training, performance management, compensating, motivating, coaching, and developing goals and procedures to ensure the achievement of goals.
• Creates and maintains operational and maintenance procedures, policies and programs.
• Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of existing departmental programs, guidelines, systems and services.
• Creates an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) budget for the area of responsibility.
• Operates within the approved O&M budget and provides budget progress reports including variance and expenditure explanations.
• Serves as a project manager for various Capital and O&M projects as assigned.
• Assists the Manager of Gate Station Operations as needed.
• Represents the Company’s interests to internal and external customers.
You Must Have:
• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred
• 5+ Years of direct technical experience in gate station operations required
• 2+ Years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Union environment supervisory experience
• Proven experience in the scheduling of operation and maintenance functions.
• Proven ability to use computers and software/applications to manage and evaluate data.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Proven ability to quickly evaluate and assess emergency response situations.
• Valid driver’s license as employee is required to drive company vehicle for work activities.
We offer a competitive salary range of $96,500 to $132,500 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
