Position Purpose:    
This entry level position is a 2-year rotational program, offering two unique 12-month experiences with the opportunity to learn our system, tools and strategies.  Upon successful completion of the Associate Program, candidates will have the opportunity to apply to open positions within WinField United.   

Experience in the rotations will allow Associates to gain knowledge in utilizing the latest agronomic technologies, as well as enable our ag customers to position brands on behalf of WinField United and gain experience building relationships and networks at both levels. Additional opportunities will be offered to gain knowledge in a unique array of strategies to help our entire system succeed within a partnered relationship.   

SALES (Locations in these states: WI, MO, IL/IN/OH/MI, MN, KS)  

Sales Associates will be placed in a division that focuses on total acre solutions using top-performing seed, crop protection, and crop nutrient products. This rotation will build upon your previous agronomy work experience by engaging with growers and retailers on business development skills and customer relationship and sales skills while learning about the WinField United products and services. You will also utilize field trial testing to uncover yield potential through nutrients, crop protection, and seed to bring targeted insights to growers via total acre solution.  

Experience-Education (Required):   

  • Bachelor’s degree with graduation date of Dec 2026 or May 2027  

  • Interest in pursuing a future career within the agriculture industry   

  • Ability to draw insights from data   

  • Willing to travel 20%-50% of the time, which could include nights and weekends   

  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and have/maintain a satisfactory driving record in order to operate a company-assigned vehicle    

  • Must be open to relocation for each rotation assignment   

  • Must have successfully completed at least one seasonal internship with Land O'Lakes

  • Interact well with customers, suppliers, employees and management of all levels   

  • Ability to solve and resolve issues quickly and in an effective manner   

  • Create and present informative and educational product presentations   

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills   

  • Strong time management skills and detail oriented   

  • Frequently move, lift and carry boxes, tubs, and tools weighing 50-60 lbs., access and utilize farm equipment, and move or traverse on uneven ground   

  • Willing to work extended hours during peak seasons (overnight travel could be required)   

  • Demonstrate the ability to be agile in changing market conditions    

  

Salary for this position is $68,000
