Job Summary:

The Full-Time Secondary Substitute Teacher will provide instruction and maintain continuity of the educational process in the absence of regular classroom teachers for students in grades 7-12. This role requires a flexible and adaptable individual who can deliver lessons across various subjects and grade levels, ensuring a positive learning environment that supports students’ academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and instructional materials in the absence of regular teachers, adapting as necessary to meet the needs of students.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Address behavioral issues promptly and according to school policies.
  • Student Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel encouraged to participate and engage with the material.
  • Communication: Provide clear and effective communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding classroom activities and student progress as needed.
  • Assessment: Administer and grade assignments, quizzes, and tests as directed by the regular teacher or school administration.

Qualifications
