What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading and directing branch Healthy Living programs, including wellness promotion, risk reduction, and support for members managing chronic conditions
  • Promoting and educating staff, members, and the community on the benefits of key healthy living programs to boost member health, retention, and revenue
  • Building and managing a high-performing wellness team through strong relationships and hands-on leadership
  • Partnering with branch management to design innovative programs and measure their impact
  • Using data and outcomes to continuously improve programs and hit strategic goals
  • Onboarding, training, developing, and supervising wellness staff
  • Maintaining top-level expertise in fitness equipment, healthy lifestyle programming, and customer service to elevate the member and guest experience
  • Serving as an active member of the branch management team, supporting overall branch success

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Wellness Programming with teen and adult populations
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Science, Recreation, or a related field preferred
  • Proven management ability in budgeting/finance and staff development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment, including weekends
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid personal training certification from a nationally recognized organization (NASM, ACE, ACSM, etc.)
  • Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, climb, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and take responsibility for the health and safety of others

Expectations
As a supervisor, you will follow all employee and volunteer screening requirements, provide ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk, give regular feedback on appropriate boundaries with children and teens, and ensure adherence to all abuse-risk policies and procedures.

Skills Required

  • At least one year of experience working in wellness programming with teenagers and adults
