Job Overview:
The Well Planner II supports the development of well plans and engineering designs to enable safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations. The role works closely with senior engineers, drilling teams, and clients to contribute to well design, planning activities, and operational execution.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of well plans, including trajectories, drilling programs
- Perform basic to intermediate engineering calculations (e.g., hydraulics, torque & drag)
- Support the operational schedules
- Analyze offset well data to support planning and optimization
- Collaborate with drilling supervisors and engineers.
- Identify potential risks and support mitigation planning
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare technical documentation, End of Well Report , and well programs
- Provide support to ongoing drilling operations when required
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven setting
- Proficiency in Turkish, English; additional languages are a plus
- Familiarity with engineering or drilling software is an advantage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum/ Reservoir Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in drilling engineering, well planning, or related field
- Basic knowledge of drilling operations and well design concepts
- Exposure to oil & gas industry practices (internships or field experience considered)
- Proficiency in Turkish, English; additional languages are a plus
