Job Summary

As a member of the digital marketing team, the Web Product Owner will drive the strategy and product process for web content on cadence.com and associated websites. The Product Owner takes a holistic view across all supported areas of the website to balance business impact and operational success while managing the backlog of projects for the web production and design teams. We are seeking a proven performer to evolve the strategy and manage the implementation of supporting web programs, projects, and initiatives.

Responsibilities

Web Project Management

  • Evaluate incoming web requests (via the intake process) and collaborate with business owners to define, prioritize, and drive projects to completion
  • Work closely with the web production and experience design teams to prioritize and schedule projects
  • Own the team backlog
  • Lead sprint standups to discuss project execution.
  • Own the scoping phase for web projects, including facilitating scoping meetings
  • Identify any requirements that may require pilots or out-of-model deliverables 
    • Conduct pilots for new/out-of-model deliverables and define how we will measure pilot success. If pilots are successful, define the process and staffing needed to develop and standardize the new deliverables. 

Web Strategy

  • Develop goals and objectives for the site sections
  • Convert those strategies into a multi-year roadmap. To support the roadmap, develop plans to introduce new enhancements and define features to include in releases.
  • Review and analyze web metrics to ensure the roadmap and results (e.g., visits, leads) meet objectives
  • Test and optimize new designs and strategies using Adobe Target
  • Drive creation and maintenance of a content strategy, incorporating navigation, filtering and faceted search, spotlighting and cross-promotion, and other content publishing methods
  • Lead and manage complex web design and development projects. Provide direction and leadership to cross-functional web teams
  • Partner with the Web, IT and XD teams to define business requirements and design effective (i.e., engaging and functional) pages
  • Incorporate search engine best practices into plans and content
     

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 of professional work experience
  • Knowledge of web design and content publishing principles for large, global sites, experience with Adobe Experience Manager is a plus
  • Project management, proficiency in JIRA is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to own, facilitate and drive productive outcomes for meetings with project teams and senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills. Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Writing capabilities, attention to detail, multitasking
  • Analytical skills; knowledge of Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Experience working in high-tech, B2B or engineering industry is a plus
