The role involves optimizing frontend performance by analyzing and refining code to reduce load times and enhance rendering efficiency. It includes developing and maintaining tools that enable our teams to monitor and improve application performance, as well as implementing monitoring solutions to proactively detect and resolve bottlenecks. Additionally, this position promotes performance best practices across the engineering organization to ensure consistently high-quality code.

• Use advanced profiling tools to identify performance issues and work with developers to implement optimizations
• Partner with product teams to design and develop performance-focused features and enhancements
• Contribute to the development of our frontend infrastructure libraries to improve performance and scalability
• Guide and mentor team members on performance best practices and optimization techniques
• Work closely with the different teams across the organization optimizing and advising on how to write performant code
• Our stack includes: React, Redux, Mobx, Zustand, TypeScript, Webpack, Vite, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Lighthouse, WebPageTest, Chrome DevTools, Webpack Bundle Analyzer, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Vitest

• Led end-to-end development of user-facing features in complex, high-scale products, delivering measurable user impact
• 5+ years of experience in Front/ Full-stack development with a strong focus on performance
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and the native browser ecosystem
• Deep understanding of React and state management libraries like Redux
• Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools
• Knowledge of web performance metrics (e.g., TTI, TTFB, FID) and how to optimize them
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex performance issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive in learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends
• Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and Service Workers
• Understanding of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and caching strategies
• Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and code-splitting techniques
