About the RoleWe’re looking for a Web Developer Team Lead to own and evolve our global, multilingual marketing website built on WordPress. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, brand, and technology and is accountable for website performance, scalability, and reliability across regions and languages.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll lead a small web development team, actively contribute code, and set the technical direction for how we build, ship, test, and scale our marketing web platform. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Design, and external partners to deliver a best-in-class digital experience while continuously growing the team’s technical maturity.
- Own the global marketing website end-to-end: architecture, performance, security, scalability, and reliability
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress sites using Bedrock and Sage, with Laravel-based architecture principles
- Build and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks and reusable components
- Lead technical planning and execution for new features, integrations, and growth experiments
- Optimize site performance, SEO, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals
- Ensure high availability through monitoring, maintenance, and incident response
- Lead and manage a web development team (minimum 3+ years managing developers)
- Perform code reviews, define coding standards, and enforce best practices
Mentor, coach, and grow developers technically and professionally - Continuously improve team velocity, quality, and technical excellence
Engineering Excellence
- Establish and maintain development standards, documentation, and workflows
- Work with modern local development environments (Docker-based)
- Own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Implement and maintain QA, testing, and automation tools
- Manage infrastructure and edge configuration using Cloudflare and Terraform
Collaborate effectively with external agencies and vendors, owning quality and outcomes
Qualifications- 6+ years of web development experience with deep expertise in WordPress
- At least 3 years of experience managing or leading a development team
- Strong hands-on experience with Bedrock and Sage (Laravel-based WordPress stack)
- Solid PHP expertise with experience in Laravel / Symfony or similar frameworks
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend tooling experience
- Proven experience managing multilingual websites at scale
- Experience working closely with marketing and growth teams on high-visibility websites
- Strong understanding of SEO, performance optimization, and accessibility
Comfortable owning projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment - Experience with modern hosting platforms (e.g., Upsub, WP Engine, Kinsta, Pantheon)
- Experience with headless or hybrid WordPress architectures
- Familiarity with marketing tech integrations (CMS, CRM, analytics, experimentation tools)
- Experience in a global or B2B SaaS environment
