Position Overview
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Senior Web Developer/Engineer for a potential opportunity to support the development and modernization of client-server and web-based applications. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-end web applications, web pages, and user interfaces, as well as porting legacy applications to modern web environments. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, technically strong, and comfortable interfacing directly with customers to gather and refine requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-end client-server and web-based applications
  • Develop and maintain web pages and user interfaces
  • Port existing applications to web-based platforms
  • Utilize web technologies such as HTML, XML, Perl, Apache, and related tools
  • Interface with clients to gather, analyze, and document technical requirements
  • Provide technical recommendations and support application enhancements
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in scripting, software development, and web page design and development
  • At least five (5) years of hands-on web and software development experience at the senior level
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) programs
  • Experience with tools such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, or comparable web development applications
Education
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must possess an IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission
