Description
The Associate Advisor is a client-facing advisory role within our wealth management team. The position works closely with senior advisors to support the delivery of comprehensive financial planning and a high-quality client experience. This role is intended for a professional looking to expand their involvement in financial analysis, client relationships, and advice implementation while continuing to develop as a trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for client meetings by gathering and organizing data, updating planning software, building meeting materials, and documenting action items and follow-up tasks.
- Respond to client inquiries and collaborate with operations, compliance, and internal specialists to ensure accurate and timely execution.
- Partner with senior advisors to develop and deliver comprehensive financial planning strategies tailored to client goals and long-term objectives.
- Analyze client financial situations, including retirement readiness, tax-efficient strategies, investment allocation, estate considerations, and risk management needs.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to relationship management through proactive planning discussions and strategic guidance.
- Collaborate with advisory team members to enhance the client experience, improve planning processes, and support firm growth initiatives.
- Conduct investment and market research to support portfolio construction, asset allocation decisions, and ongoing planning recommendations.
Over time, this role will take on increased responsibility for managing client relationships, serving as a key point of contact for many of the firm’s emerging and smaller client households while continuing to collaborate with the broader advisory team.
Requirements
- Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required.
- 2+ years of experience in wealth management, advisory support, financial planning, or client-facing financial services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail, sound judgement and effective time management.
- Working knowledge of Redtail, Nitrogen, MoneyguidePro.
- Ability to obtain Illinois Life and Health insurance licenses within 6 months of employment.
- CFP® designation preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred.
