WAVY Unpaid Digital Intern, Summer 2025
WAVY-TV 10/WVBT FOX43 is searching for a dynamic DIGITAL INTERN who wants to write for the web, produce multimedia stories about Hampton Roads, and assist in operating a dynamic website with regular updates as well as constantly emerging content.
This is an UNPAID / FOR-CREDIT position for the Summer semester 2025 only.
We are looking for someone who has completed writing and editing courses, has a working knowledge of WordPress, CMS, social media platforms; videography course with a working knowledge Adobe Premiere preferred, and passion for telling local stories. This intern could also be creating Facebook posts, Tweets, and promoting coverage.
The successful candidate must have a willingness to learn the inner workings of a local newsroom and how all departments in a TV station work to support each other. Before beginning, the intern *must be* enrolled in a college degree granting program, and *will be required* to show proof of enrollment in an internship course within that program.
12-15 hours per week on site. Ability to work a varying schedule Sunday through Saturday required; days and times will vary and be set in agreement with supervisor.
