Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Position OverviewBFS Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including leading staff, managing inventory and product handling, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves supervising teams for tasks like receiving, storing, picking, and shipping, while also handling personnel decisions and maintaining operation efficiency. Key accountabilities include monitoring safety protocols, managing employee performance, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and coordinating with other teams like sales. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Staff and operations management
    • Lead and supervise warehouse personnel handle hiring and performance management, and develop daily work schedules. 
  • Inventory and Logistics
    • Coordinate and oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping finished goods and other products. 
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure the warehouse operates in compliance with all company safety policies, regulatory standards, and quality requirements for feed safety. 
  • Quality and Efficiency
    • Monitor production and operational outcomes to meet customer specifications and timelines, and maintain an organized and clean work environment.
  • Record-keeping and reporting
    • Ensure the accuracy of warehouse documents, maintain inventory accuracy, and report on inventory status and other key metrics. 
  • Training
    • Ensure all warehouse personnel are adequately trained on required equipment and procedures. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and supervision.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Physical stamina and a high school diploma or equivalent are generally need. 
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential. 
  • Dependability and attention to detail are key. 
  • Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is often necessary.
