Gurnick Academy is a leading California private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of Nursing, Allied healthcare, and Imaging programs.
We are currently seeking an Ultrasound Teacher’s Aid, Part-time for our Associate of Occupational Science in Vascular Ultrasound Program at our San Jose, CA Gurnick Campus. This is an On-Ground position at our Gurnick Campus.
Job Type: Part-time
Hourly Pay Range: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
Days & Hours: Tuesday & Thursday, 1pm to 5PM
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
The job duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining classroom operations and procedures to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency
- Maintaining records of students attendance and grading
- Monitoring supplies of laboratory
- Collecting homework and returning homework after it has been graded
- Assisting lab instructors during competency exams
- Proctoring exams in computer lab
- Verbally communicate with students in a courteous and professional manner
- Communicate effectively in writing in a courteous and professional manner
- Organize and arrange classroom supplies and materials
- Exercise creativity in addressing classroom management issues
- Exercise tact, resourcefulness and judgement with all student groups
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with faculty and administrative staff
- Work independently and under minimal supervision to effectively complete work tasks
- Follow direction given by faculty to ensure work is completed per instruction
- Flexibility with time and assignments to accommodate different learning styles of students.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARDMS Certification
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Organizational knowledge of educational institutions
- One year experience in similar position is preferable
