Job Title: Video Teleconference (VTC) Engineer
Security Clearance: Secret
Location: Iraq
(Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.)
Description:
C3EL is seeking a Video Teleconference (VTC) Engineer to join our team on site in Iraq. This role requires a motivated individual who will be responsible for operating and maintaining telecommunication systems supporting video and audio transmissions.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Support the command team with any VTC-related issues.
- Resolve multiple issues with VTC servers and endpoints that have not previously been addressed.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation.
- Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Endpoints (including models RoomKit Pro, RoomKit Mini, DeskKit Pro, Webex Room 55, RoomKit, SX20, DX80, SX80, EX90, MX700 Speaker Track).
- Replace, install, and configure new endpoints when necessary.
- Provide troubleshooting for call quality and connectivity.
- Create detailed reports and provide weekly updates on any issues or projects.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance.
- Current Security+ CE Certification.
- Current Network+ CE Certification (or CCNA/CCNP).
- Detailed knowledge of H.323, H.320, H.264, G.711, G.722, G.728, H.261, H.263, and H.264.
- Detailed knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom VTC coder-decoder (CODEC) and equipment.
- Detailed knowledge of Tandberg and Polycom Multi-point capabilities.
- Detailed knowledge of A/V concepts.
- Knowledge and familiarity of DISA/DVSG and site licensing.
- Knowledge and familiarity of encryption devices (KIV-7, KG devices, TACLANE devices, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of networks and the ability to troubleshoot network problems.
- Ability to write technical documents.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Associate degree in a related discipline plus seven (7) years of relevant experience. Degree may be substituted for additional experience. Experience must Include two (2) years of experience in a military environment.
