About the Role
We’re seeking a senior tax professional to lead tax reporting and compliance for the Group.
The role would suit an experienced senior manager or director in Public Accounting, or equivalent in financial services or tax authority.
The hire would have responsibility for tax compliance and reporting for all entities in the Group except for the US, and would have overall responsibility for tax compliance and reporting at Group level, reporting to the Director, Group Tax.
You would lead tax input to the business planning process and into calculations required for solvency submissions. You would also lead tax input into controls, and would be the primary tax contact for the external audit team.
You would also lead where there is an opportunity to operationalize and optimize tax processes.
You would also have the opportunity to get involved with tax advice on investments, reinsurance contracts, restructuring, financing and other developments.
Key Responsibilities
- GAAP tax reporting for the Group, and for Bermuda and other non-US entities
- Tax compliance for non-US entities in the Group, and in particular Bermuda
- Tax input into the Group and Bermuda solvency calculations (EBS, stat etc)
- Operationalisation/improvement of tax processes
- Liaison with internal and external audit and control teams
- Tax business partnering with Finance and Actuarial

- Significant PQE experience, obtained in an industry or professional environment
- Operational tax systems skills and expertise
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including good business partnership skills with colleagues in Finance and Actuarial
