Responsible for developing and maintaining strategically important Life Insurance partner relationships and including MGA’s, BGA's and broker dealers to drive profitable sales growth and ensure the attainment of mutually beneficial strategic goals. This includes effective communication with the relationship's management and centers-of-influence, identification of business development opportunities, effective business planning execution, as well as communication and development of additional Corebridge Financial solutions and relationships.

Relationship Management

Develops and maintains formal business plans for all relationships involving engagement, product placement, account penetration, and formal periodic review of the aforementioned

Develops and coordinates strategic relationships with executives and COI's in assigned accounts.

Leverages senior management efficiently and appropriately with these strategic partners to ensure they feel engaged with Corebridge leadership.

Develops and maintains relationships with personnel in other Life business units (e.g. Product, Marketing, Compliance, New Business, Underwriting, Operations, etc.)

Liaison between Corebridge and influential back-office staff at assigned accounts for initiatives or challenges related to operations, service, and/or technology.

Maintains broad working knowledge of product solutions, and capabilities; identifies opportunities to leverage these on behalf of their accounts.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of Corebridge Financial Life products, and effectively positions them against the competition in ways that demonstrate unique value and mitigates commoditization.

Business Development and Management

Engages in effective discovery, and prospecting activities to identify business development opportunities. Communicates opportunities to Distribution Leadership and/or Head of Strategic Accounts Life.

Partners with National Sales Managers and Life wholesaling functions to align national efforts maintaining and growing strategic relationships, with consistent regional and local activities.

Ensures appropriate sponsorship, attendance and follow-up initiatives for conferences and meetings to generate meaningful activity and opportunities locally for wholesaling functions; including but not limited to administrative tactics in support of the aforementioned.

Proactively identifies potential problems and challenges on behalf of their relationships. Effectively handles escalated sales and service issues with appropriate key contacts, engaging in consistent follow-up and documentation of the issue throughout the resolution process.

Conducts appropriate cost benefit analysis for requests involving project work and / or financial support to appropriately prioritize them in the context of production potential and competing opportunities.

May serve as the team lead (point person) for one or more strategic accounts with responsibility for coordination and communication of all account strategy and activity.

Product Placement

Secures approval for new products and product updates at assigned firms when applicable; documents initial notification and communicates status appropriately to management.

Identifies and supports distribution mechanisms required to maintain and generate sales of specific Life products in their relationships consistent with Corebridge Financial sales goals and initiatives.

Identifies opportunities in assigned accounts for improving market share of specific Life products and creating additive sales for our distribution partners.

Reporting and Communication

Maintains extensive working knowledge of each firm including total sales demographics, product mix, competitive intelligence, systems, platforms, key initiatives, business trends, etc. Information is communicated periodically to management both formally and informally.

Compiles and maintains timely information on engagement activity with accounts.

Documents account management activity using Life Distribution's CRM, and produces summaries for Life leadership, management, or account relationships when beneficial and necessary.

Maintains up-to-date product placement activity in assigned firms, tracking product and marketing approvals when appropriate.

Administration

Facilitates initial and updated agreements between Life and assigned firms including selling agreements, addendums, marketing agreements, etc.

Responsible for facilitating the necessary logistical support and materials related to meetings and conferences in concert with any available event planning resources. Conducts periodic meetings with conference planners to coordinate such events with assigned firms as appropriate.

Prepares materials for meetings and ensures their compliance for use with broker dealers and / or IMO’s and BGA’s including, but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, sales reports, supporting documentation and logoed items.
