Responsible for leading the pricing and risk assessment of U.S. Property treaty and MGA business, partnering closely with underwriting to support profitable growth and informed decision-making. This role provides technical leadership in pricing, portfolio analytics, cat risk assessment, and market studies, while driving the enhancement of pricing methodologies, tools, and governance practices. The position also serves as a trusted subject matter expert, fostering cross-functional collaboration and mentoring talent across the organization.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical pricing of U.S. Property treaties and MGA programs, using both experience- and exposure-based approaches, CAT model outputs, and actuarial judgment. Ensure all pricing work complies with Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs), CAS professional standards, and internal pricing governance and controls.
- Partner closely with U.S. Property treaty and MGA underwriting teams to support business decisions by clearly communicating pricing recommendations, analytical insights, and profitability assessments for both new and renewal opportunities.
- Participate in MGA program audits, identifying and addressing issues to strengthen program oversight, governance, and compliance.
- Lead U.S. Property market studies, pricing parameter updates, annual actual-versus-expected analyses, and other local and global initiatives. Drive the development and enhancement of pricing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with CAT R&D teams on vendor model evaluations and model calibration efforts to improve SCOR’s view of risk and strengthen pricing and modeling capabilities.
- Serve as a U.S. Property subject matter expert, mentoring and developing junior actuaries and analysts while sharing technical knowledge and best practices across the team.
- Maintain strong feedback loops with underwriting, claims, reserving, finance, and accumulations teams to ensure timely and accurate information sharing, resolve issues, and support business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement of P&M processes through automation, standardization, and innovation to enhance efficiency and support evolving business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong mathematical background is required.
- FCAS designation required. 2. 10+ years of re/insurance pricing and modeling experience, including 5+ years in U.S. Property.
- Prior experience with RMS or Verisk cat models strongly preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively to underwriters.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and other data analytical tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and actuarial judgment capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality analysis under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Collaborative team player who builds effective partnerships across underwriting, claims, reserving, and finance and other functions.

Pay Range for roles performed in CHI: $194,000-$262,500 base salary per year. Actual salaries may vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, role and performance. The range listed is just one component of SCOR's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long term incentives.
