The primary function of this role is to drive long-term growth and profitability through sales of Elekta’s complete Solutions for the assigned region. Provides leadership to address growth and drives the business towards number one on market share position. Maintain key relationships, ensure successful commitments are delivered and identify new revenue opportunities with existing or targeted clients in specified Zone. In addition will be fully accountable for the Zone orders and revenue performance and must work in cooperation with other horizontal and verticals to ensure Budgets and quotas are attained in assigned product areas. 

The Sales VP, Central Zone shall be responsible for collaborating with vertical and horizontal functions to define the business strategy for the specified Zone to enhance the management and growth of the sales organization across Elekta´s product portfolio across current Install Base.

The role of the Sales VP is to generate orders, hit price performance measures, generate revenue and profitability in line with the individual targets set. manage the overall business success of the specified Zone. They are required to ensure that service; order fulfilment and other functional teams work closely to achieve orders and revenue in line with Company targets whilst maintaining a high level of customer and employee satisfaction. 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and report the market potential and needs across Elekta’s product portfolio in the geographic area of responsibility

  • Identify opportunities to expand product portfolio into existing customer sites.

  • Develop a sales strategy to increase sales of the full Elekta product portfolio into customer sites, working alongside Marketing to create sales campaigns and marketing literature

  • Manage the financial plan in the areas of orders, revenue and margin. Maintains and manages expenses within budget and develops a territory design based on revenue growth potential, market trends

  • Ensure accuracy in monthly vs quarterly vs annual forecasting across all Solutions, Service & Revenue to align with Region America’s zone budget targets

  • Quarterback all needed aspects of regional Subject Matter Experts, internal partners and decisions to drive results and growth strategy for the regional territory.

  • Deploy, train, and implement best practices of Elekta multi-systems/multi-modality strategic selling methodology to C level and Heads of departments to the regional sales team

  • Actively work with the Service Director to ensure alignment between Sales and Service

  • Effectively manage a supporting team of dotted line functional reports (Marketing, Service, Order Fulfillment) to ensure the strategy, high customer satisfaction and employee engagement are achieved

  • Establish a creative, dynamic and empowered open work environment integrating the Elekta Values

  • Measure and review the operational performance of the specified Zone, highlighting and communicating any improvements where necessary to the Head of Sales 

  • Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in compliance with all relevant legislation and Elekta quality standards and policies

  • Take responsibility for the attraction, retention and development of the capabilities (competencies, knowledge, skills and experience) of the direct reports

  • Ensure that regular face-to-face performance and coaching meeting take place with all direct reports and where necessary ensure that any underperformance/training needs identified are documented and HR support requested

  • Ensure all employees have a meaningful annual performance planning and evaluation meeting where development activities are discussed, documented and acted upon within a timely manner in line with Elekta Global policies

  • Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta’s Code of Conduct

What you bring:

  • Minimum of an Bachelor’s degree and six years of progressive advancement and success in sales management within the medical industry unless candidate has at least 8 years of sales experience within Elekta.

  • Has shown several years of experience on communication with and selling to the C level suites of Hospitals and Universities as well as with large buying groups.

  • Demonstrated sales success in attaining quota objectives, managing account relationships.

  • Proven ability to train, develop, coach, and support the Zone sales team

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and ability to determine solutions for customer (consultative sales approach).

  • Demonstrated initiative (self-starter) and leadership/organizational skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Clearly demonstrated ability to supervise a committed sales time and maintain a high level of morale and sales productivity.

  • Flexible with a “win-win” approach to sales in a variety of Customer Market Segments

  • Must be able to interface with Executives and all levels of management and fully understand the financial aspects of the selling process.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 60%.

The US base salary range for this position is $$300,000-$360,000
