Work Location: Providence, RI – Hybrid coming into the office at least 3-days per week with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday being set days.

Salary Range: The expected maximum salary for this position is $150,000. This is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will consider skill level, experience, and location.

Customers Bank, the fastest growing bank in the U.S., has an immediate opening for a VP Commercial Relationship Manager located in Providence, RI. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager is a revenue-producing member of the Banking Group. He/she is responsible for supporting the daily management of the overall Group's clients and has direct oversight over a portfolio of those clients that he/she has sourced or has been assigned. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager will be responsible for sourcing new clients and cross-selling to the Group's existing ones. Product responsibility will include credit, deposit products, and cash management. The VP Commercial Relationship Manager will provide tactical support to the Banking Group Head in the form of supporting calling efforts, structuring, and closing credit facilities, providing operational support, onboarding new clients, liaising with Credit and Operations, and performing due diligence.

Responsibilities

  • Support overall client relationship management with existing clients on a daily basis

  • Oversee a portfolio of middle market, real estate, commercial and high net worth clients that he/she has sourced or has been assigned

  • Provide credit knowledge and support underwriting efforts for existing clients

  • Source new borrowing and deposit clients and cross-sell to existing ones

  • Support/lead calling and networking efforts

  • Provide operational and systems help

  • Onboard new clients

  • Liaise with the Credit & Operations teams

What do you need?

  • 5-15 years of relevant banking experience

  • Ability to sell and structure credit requests of $1-$20mil for working capital, term lending, owner occupied real estate and investment real estate

  • Cash management and deposit services product knowledge

  • Proven track record of acquiring clients and deep referral network

  • Relationship management experience in a commercial, business banking, real estate, or private banking background

  • Self-starter capable of working under limited direct supervision

  • Results-driven persona

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong foundational knowledge of banking and credit products

  • Team player willing to go to lengths to provide best possible client experience

  • Direct credit experience/responsibility or formal credit training preferred

  • MS Office Suite

  • Salesforce & Adobe knowledge preferred

Technology Skills:

  • Microsoft Office products

  • Salesforce
