Ravenswood is the home to our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. We take pride in having a friendly, open office environment that is relaxed and honest. As a flexible-first organization, this role requires the VP, Product to be onsite at the office or meeting with clients two to three days a week. Remote consideration is possible for the right candidate.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As VP of Product, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for setting and executing our product vision and strategy. You'll lead a talented team of product managers, designers, technical program and project managers and work closely with engineering, sales, services, and customer success teams, and play a crucial role in driving our next phase of growth. This role requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical depth, legal industry knowledge, and leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision that aligns with company goals and market needs
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for our legal technology solutions
  • Partner with the executive team to shape company strategy and ensure product alignment
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal technology trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities

Product Organization Leadership
  • Build upon, mentor, and lead a high-performing product organization
  • Establish effective product development processes, metrics, and best practices
  • Drive product planning, prioritization, and execution using data-driven frameworks
  • Oversee product lifecycle from concept to launch, including feature prioritization, release management, and post-launch evaluation and refinement
  • Balance competing priorities, including customer acquisition, revenue expansion, and platform stability

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Engineering leadership to ensure successful product development and on-time delivery
  • Align with Sales and Marketing to develop and support their go-to-market strategies
  • Partner with our services organization to enable efficient service delivery and growth in revenue
  • Collaborate with Client Success personnel and other subject matter experts to gather feedback from internal teams and clients

Customer and Market Focused
  • Develop deep understanding of legal professionals' changing workflows, pain points, and needs
  • Establish strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the legal industry
  • Serve as a product evangelist both internally and externally
  • Represent the voice of the customer throughout the organization

Innovative Leadership
  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies like AI, automation, and new cloud computing technologies in the legal space
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product organization
  • Balance innovation with practical execution to deliver value to customers
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of relevant technologies through build/buy/partner decisions
  • Guide the evolution of product architecture to support future growth and capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience and Skills
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
  • Proven track record building and scaling B2B SaaS products from mid-market to enterprise-level ARR
  • Experience leading and growing high-performing product teams
  • Strong understanding of software development practices and technologies
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills with experience presenting complex ideas to C-level executives, investors, industry leaders, and customers

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with or exposure to legal technology, or adjacent industries (litigation support, document management, legal operations)
  • Knowledge of legal workflows, e-discovery processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with incorporating AI technologies in product offerings
  • Background working with a range of corporate customers from SMBs to enterprises
  • Prior experience in a fast-growing technology company
