Job Description:
The VP, Product Marketing will lead the strategy, development, and execution of product marketing initiatives across our portfolio of healthcare software solutions. This role requires an experienced leader who can bridge the gap between product, sales, and marketing to create compelling narratives that resonate with healthcare providers and stakeholders. The VP, Product Marketing will develop go-to-market strategies, drive product adoption, and build market positioning that highlights our value proposition in the healthcare sector.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new products and features, working cross-functionally with product management, sales, and marketing teams.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs; use insights to inform product development and positioning.
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with healthcare providers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
- Sales Enablement: Collaborate with sales leadership to create tools, presentations, and training materials that enable the sales team to effectively communicate product value and close deals.
- Customer Insights & Segmentation: Leverage data to identify key customer segments and their unique needs; develop strategies to increase engagement and retention within each segment. Work closely with customers and strategic partners to gain insights, develop testimonials, and gather case studies that highlight product impact and value.
- Brand Advocacy & Thought Leadership: Represent [Company Name] at industry conferences, webinars, and through publications to build brand credibility and thought leadership in healthcare software.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a collaborative culture and encouraging innovation.
- Performance Metrics & Optimization: Establish KPIs to measure the success of product marketing initiatives, regularly assessing and optimizing strategies to maximize ROI and market impact.
- Healthcare Experience – Understanding of the healthcare information technology market and the future needs of healthcare organizations. The candidate will work collaboratively across all parts of the organization to guide what future needs prospects and clients will require.
- Competitive Intelligence – The candidate must understand what competitive solutions are in the market today and the associated price points of the solutions. Based on the competitive landscape, the candidate must prepare the sales team to compete for client and prospect business.
- Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.
Experience Required:
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within healthcare, SaaS, or technology sectors.
- Proven expertise in developing go-to-market strategies and executing product launches.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of: Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare software and/or healthcare systems, patient engagement solutions, and the regulatory environment in healthcare technology.
- Skill in: Strong data analytics and research skills to drive informed decisions and optimize campaigns. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to: Translate technical features into compelling, benefit-focused messaging. Strategic Vision: Ability to align product marketing with long-term business goals and foster collaboration across departments to achieve objectives.
