Position Overview:
The VP, Product Marketing will play a pivotal role in defining and executing go-to-market strategies for our detection, response, and managed services offerings focused on securing the supply chain. This leader will bring expertise in product marketing and cybersecurity, specifically in detection and response (XDR/MDR/CDR, or similar), to drive awareness, demand generation, and customer engagement for our supply chain security products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Positioning and Messaging:
    • Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that uniquely differentiates SecurityScorecard's supply chain detection and response and ratings solutions in the cybersecurity market.
  2. Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Design and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches and enhancements, ensuring cross-functional alignment and successful market penetration.
  3. Customer and Market Insights:
    • Conduct market research to gain a deep understanding of customer needs, supply chain risks, pain points, and the competitive landscape. Use these insights to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
  4. Sales Enablement Support:
    • Collaborate with sales & enablement to develop effective sales tools, such as presentations, collateral, and training materials, to support efforts in engaging customers and closing deals.
  5. Content Development:
    • Lead the creation of high-impact marketing content, such as whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, and case studies, to drive thought leadership and demand for supply chain detection and response solutions.
  6. Demand Generation:
    • Partner with revenue marketing, business development, and sales to develop and implement demand generation programs that increase awareness and drive lead generation across channels, including digital, events, and partnerships.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product management, engineering, sales, and other teams to ensure product marketing aligns with business goals and product development.
  8. Product Launches:
    • Manage successful launches of new products and features, coordinating internal and external communications, training, and promotional activities.
  9. Market Expansion:
    • Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand market reach and customer base, domestically and internationally, especially in supply chain security.
  10. Analytics and Measurement:
    • Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Continuously analyze data to optimize strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, cybersecurity, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in product marketing, with a strong background in cybersecurity and detection and response (XDR/MDR/CDR), ideally focused on supply chain security.
  • Product Marketing Expertise: Proven success in product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy development for cybersecurity solutions.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills with 3+ years of experience leading and motivating teams.
  • Passion for Cybersecurity: Demonstrated commitment to the field of cybersecurity and supply chain protection.

The estimated salary range for this position is X-X. Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
