Job Overview:
The Vice President, IIS – Market Data is responsible for strategy, managing and further developing LPL’s enterprise Market Data Platforms. LPL is continuously enhancing their solutions, and this role will be responsible for work on our Market Data platforms with a focus on streamlining our offering while focusing on reliability, scalability & efficiency. Candidates for this role should expect to work with a diverse group of cross-functional teams in a process-driven manner to ensure creative and continuous improvements – with the goal of exciting our advisor base, leading the market, and attracting additional business.
Responsibilities:

Work to create strategy and maintain a vision, road-map, growth opportunities, and product backlog for our Market Data platforms.

Ensure we are delivering the highest quality Market Data experience to our advisors

Experience in data governance & process controls related to Market Data.
-
Exchange agreement knowledge as well as excellent vendor relationship management skills
-
Identify, define, and prioritize the most impactful market and growth opportunities for LPL’s solutions
-
Leveraging internal partners to launch new solutions, while engaging with external partners
-
Create, implement and maintain distribution of Market Data strategy
-
Build relationships and strong partnerships across the organization; such as Marketing, Sales, Transition Partners, Finance, and Compliance

Negotiates contracts with key Technology Vendors in such a way to drive value across Business, Product and Technology roadmaps

Experience with 3rd party Market Data providers such as ICE, Thomson, Factset, LSEG, Bloomberg, Refinitiv etc.

Responsible for documenting and managing functional requirements, stories, and projects in Agile Scrum

Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities with PI roadmaps

Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals

Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

Be aware of the risks posed at every phase of the development life cycle, and ensure oversight and controls are implemented to minimize the risk to the firm and to the advisors

Provide thought leadership on a wide range of subjects related to market data, including regulatory matters, industry trends and the competitive landscape.

Be a thought leader within both the product and market data space, actively looking for opportunities to differentiate our team within LPL, and LPL within the Financial Industry.

Communicate and coordinate with teams and stakeholders ensuring wide alignment on direction, priority, and strategic benefits.

Be the subject matter expert on our users and their needs by conducting customer interviews, reviewing product analytics, hosting user feedback sessions, and aggregating insight from internal partners

5+ years of related experience with Market Data; with a strong understanding of industry

3+ years of experience across Broker-Dealer platforms

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

3+ years executing in agile environment

Pay Range:
$132,000.00 - $220,000.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
