The MasterCard Services global product team is seeking a Vice President as product management co-founder of Market Intelligence program.
Market Intelligence north star:
• Market insights to understand payments and make decisions, automating/democratizing consulting.
• It also serves as one single access point and unified experience to x-sell and/or host other self-service business intelligence products
Key products part of Market Intelligence are Market Trends and Cards Lab, and the ownership of Mastercard Business Intelligence platform.
Role
• Overall
o Bears ultimate accountability for product success across all dimensions (strategic, CX, financial, GTM, achievement of KPIs, etc.)
o Shares accountability for application quality and developer productivity
• Customer and Market
o Identifies/understands customer, regulatory and market need to be solved for and ensures the engineering teams know what they need
o Assesses relevant issues with respect to addressable market opportunity, go to market approach, competitive landscape and time to market
o Co-creates value proposition to address customer need, establishes ‘North Star’
• Product Management Responsibilities
o Advises on value prop to maximize target outcomes while minimizing cost and complexity, ensures cost-effective operations
o Articulates product vision and strategy, maintains clear and achievable Roadmap
o Leads development of value proposition to address customer need, establishes ‘North Stars’
o Apportions and manages resources in line with full scope of objectives (including run stage and long-term product health and modernization)
o Oversees product managers and ensures quality of product management disciplines
o Aligns with MA new product development processes & tools
o Partners with Finance to develop pro forma financials, investment requirements, business outcomes/KPIs and expected ROI
o Actively engages with engineering team to develop and iterate outcomes, consistent with and as a champion of agile work practices
• People and Collaboration
o Develops and “raises the bar” on quality of product management talent, both within team and across broader product management community
o Engages relevant partners (design, engineering, delivery, sales, etc.) in assessing feasibility of and improving upon product value proposition

• Experience with Product P&L management
• Strong project management skills
• Experience effectively leading teams
• Desire to roll up sleeves and make direct contributions
• Strong collaboration and ability to partner effectively with virtual, fast-paced teams
• Interest in technology and desire to apply technology to solve problems
• Strong communicator
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior executives
• Knowledge of the financial services industry, ideally including both retail banking and payments
• Agile product management experience with ability to influence user experience and engineer’s roadmap
• Vendor’s management experience
• Previous top consulting background strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required
