As Vice President of Procurement, you will set the long-term strategy and lead the team responsible for partnering with business leaders and vendors to maximize results, minimize costs and maintain a high level of customer service. You’ll drive purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis and market trends, and negotiate contracts with key suppliers. You will develop and implement policies and procedures related to strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract execution, strategic supplier relationship management, and oversee spend analysis/management activities. ​

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement global efficiencies, standardized tools, and procedures to shorten the quotation, RFP, new supplier, and decision making and evaluation time
  • Deliver cost reduction corporate initiatives through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to drive insights into business trends and measure cost avoidance results. Present these insights to key stakeholders and decision makers
  • Provide thought leadership, development and guidance on procurement policies and practices. Identify new purchasing opportunities and savings strategies through spend concentration analysis
  • Lead development and execution of a performance-driven supplier management process resulting in structured feedback, joint problem solving, simplification, reduced variation and overall quality improvements
  • Establish the strategy for and leads the supplier selection process through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes
  • Manage suppliers and stakeholder to determine specifications and requirements for information technology and digital, hardware and software and telecommunications
  • Understand and partner with the company’s IT Strategy and Plan objectives, timelines, and goals. Support company-wide innovation strategy
  • In conjunction with the legal department, negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers and approves contracts
  • Influence senior leader business stakeholders to adopt improved sourcing methods and process compliance
  • Develop the skills and abilities of all team members, with the result that they perform to their highest potential and optimize their current and future job performance
  • Develop the depth of the strategic and operational procurement management team, including ongoing management succession planning

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, finance, or relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 10-12 years of experience in the purchasing/procurement field, including experience managing procurement function and staff
  • Skilled in sourcing, negotiation, market/product/supplier analysis, and contract formulation
  • Ability to conduct market/industry/supplier analysis and synthesize data into a consumable format
  • Superb communication skills with various audiences, including internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership to yield results for the organization
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities

Base Salary Range

$179,700.00 - $260,625.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
