Here’s the Gist:

Wolfspeed seeks a VP of Operations to lead our Mohawk Valley Fab facility. This role reports to the SVP, Global Manufacturing Operations, and is tasked with leading the engineering and production team for 24x7 manufacturing. The VP will lead the team to deliver short term tactical results and drive long-term strategic initiatives within an environment of continuous improvement on all primary manufacturing metrics. The ideal candidate will be a people forward leader who fosters a culture of high performance by creating a positive and collaborative working environment for all employees.

The Day-to-Day:

• Providing leadership and strategic vision to plan and direct factory development, expansion, production and sustainment.
• You will work closely with R&D teams, US operations teams, and customer-facing business units to bring new products, technologies and processes to market in a timely fashion with high yields and robust quality.
• Establishing KPI’s, track and monitor performance and report on key business metrics and operational performance to internal management.
• Drive to produce results and a willingness to find a solution with a material as complex as Silicon carbide. You will act as both a top-level strategic executive and a “roll up your sleeves” leader.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

• BS Engineering in a technical field (Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science)
• 20+ years of progressive leadership roles in large company environments.
• Highly experienced in manufacturing operations in the semiconductor industry.
