The VP, Investor Relations & Treasury, leads external investor communications and internal capital markets, liquidity, and cash management functions, acting as the senior liaison to investors, rating agencies, and banks. This role partners with the CEO and CFO to prepare earnings materials, manage investor outreach and run treasury operations relating to banking relationships and debt management. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s investor relations strategy, ensuring consistent, transparent, and compelling communication of the company’s financial performance, strategy, and market positioning. Working closely with the executive team, finance, legal, and communications functions, this individual will lead investor engagement initiatives, manage earnings communications, and provide insights to senior leadership based on shareholder feedback and market trends.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the planning and execution of the quarterly earnings process, including preparation of executive scripts, Q&A, investor presentations, and financial/operational messaging.
  • Draft and coordinate quarterly earnings materials, executive scripts, Q&A prep, and transcript approvals.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other members of the financial community; respond to inquiries with accuracy, transparency, and professionalism.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on investor sentiment, market trends, and competitor positioning.
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams on SEC filings and ensure compliance with disclosure requirements.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of investor-facing materials, including fact sheets, press releases, and shareholder letters.
  • Manage relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and rating agencies; coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Monitor analyst reports, shareholder ownership changes, and trading activity to deliver actionable insights to leadership.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the Investor Relations website, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company strategy.
  • Support M&A, capital markets, and other strategic initiatives through financial communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, covenant compliance, and capital structure execution.
  • Advise the executive team and board on capital markets timing and financing alternatives.
  • Support M&A financing, equity or debt offerings, and investor due diligence processes.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Security Clearance-Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and senior executives.
  • Deep knowledge of capital markets, SEC reporting, and disclosure requirements.
  • Exceptional financial analysis, modeling, and strategic communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial information into clear, compelling messaging for investors.
  • Strong executive presence, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong familiarity with investor relations software (e.g., Ipreo, FactSet, Bloomberg, Nasdaq IR tools).
  • Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities.

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, investment banking, or corporate finance.
  • Experience managing investor events (earnings calls, investor days, roadshows).
  • Prior experience in a publicly traded company, particularly in aerospace/defense, technology, or other complex industries.
