VP Finance

OurCrowd is a global investment platform connecting accredited investors and institutions with vetted, early-stage startups, venture funds and alternative investments. We're looking for a VP of Finance to lead financial strategy, planning, and operations.

The VP Finance will manage the Finance Department's day-to-day execution ensuring clear ownership across a highly complex organization that supports investment vehicles, funds, management companies, investor reporting, tax reporting, portfolio events, cash activity, and recurring financial close processes. Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance directly manages and mentors 3 Controllers/Team Leads, ensuring alignment, clear priorities, and strong performance across each area.

The ideal candidate operates at both a strategic and hands-on level. This role requires managing people, prioritizing competing deadlines, and enforcing process ownership, while coordinating closely with multiple departments. We are looking for a strong leader who can build a high-performing team, drive accountability, and coach reports to their full potential.

We are headquartered in Jerusalem. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in-office at our Jerusalem location, 30 Yesha'yahu Leibowitz Street.

• Daily management: Own operating cadence, weekly priorities, resource allocation, follow-up discipline, issue escalation, and cross-team coordination.
• Process ownership: Implement a one-owner-per-process model — each process with a named manager, day-to-day owner, backup, and documented review cadence.
• Quarterly and annual reporting: Oversee ad hoc, quarterly, and annual reporting to investors, management, GPs, investment vehicles, SPVs, and management companies.
• Financial statements and close: Own the timetable and quality of quarterly and annual financial statements, including CPA/auditor coordination.
• Investment operations: Oversee finance execution for deal closings, capital calls, transfers, cash movements, and related reporting.
• Portfolio events: Ensure finance support for follow-ons, FMV, NAV, exits, distributions, secondaries, write-offs, and other portfolio events.
• Regulatory control: Oversee recurring compliance processes, including FATCA/CRS, investor tax reporting coordination, and regulatory reporting support.
• Tax planning and reporting: Coordinate tax cycles, CPA reviews, K-1/CAS/PFIC workflows, capital gains schedules, and investor-facing tax outputs.
• Treasury and cash controls: Ensure bank accounts, balances, receipts, distributions, wires, and reconciliations are controlled, reviewed, and documented.

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 4+ years in fund accounting, private equity, or venture capital
• CPA from a Big 4; public accounting/audit background - required
• Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing a finance team (Controllers/Team Leads or equivalent) with multiple workstreams, recurring deadlines, external service providers and cross-functional dependencies
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Excellent English is essential, both written and verbal; professional working proficiency in Hebrew is required, with full bilingual fluency a strong asset
• Experience with investment platforms, VC funds, partnership structures, private markets, asset management, fintech or complex multi-entity environments
• Demonstrated experience operating within both Israeli and international business environments, including familiarity with local regulations, banking processes, and the ability to work independently and effectively with Israeli banks and tax authorities
• Systems-aware and data-oriented, with the ability to partner effectively with Salesforce, ERP/accounting, Snowflake/BI, automation and AI initiatives.
• Strategic and hands-on operating style, comfortable both setting direction and working in the details
