About the Role:
Reporting to the Global Sr Director, Global Markets, the VP Finance for US & Canada will serve as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, driving commercial strategy and financial performance across all channels and categories throughout the markets. This position oversees the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities and is a key contributor to business growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The role provides leadership across all finance functions, ensures compliance and governance, and develops talent to foster a best-in-class finance organization.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end CFO responsibilities across accounting, financial reporting, controls, FP&A, treasury, tax, risk management, and investment analysis for the market.
Partner with US leadership to shape commercial strategy and drive growth through robust financial planning.
Jointly lead P&L performance with the Market GM, translating strategy into financial outcomes through active risk management, opportunity capture, and performance optimization.
Direct annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
Oversee accounting, reporting, governance, and internal controls to ensure compliance with local GAAP, statutory requirements, and corporate standards.
Drive cost optimization, operational efficiencies, and best practices across the US & Canada, including procurement and purchasing.
Deliver clear, insight-driven performance analysis and business narratives to regional and global stakeholders (e.g., sell-in/sell-out, working capital, trade stock).
Strengthen financial discipline across commercial teams by building capability and providing ongoing training and guidance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering talent growth and cross-regional mobility.
Act as the primary external finance representative with regulators, auditors, banking partners, and key stakeholders.
Optimize capital allocation, evaluate strategic investments, and support retail, media, and brand investment decisions to maximize returns.
Foster strong collaboration with global, regional, and local stakeholders to ensure alignment on governance, compliance, and operations.
Maintain a strong view of the competitive landscape, challenging the status quo and deploying innovative financial strategies to sustain market competitiveness.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required. A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) and/or a professional accounting qualification (such as CPA, ACA, or ACCA) is highly preferred, but not mandatory
Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business leadership roles, including substantial experience in a multinational environment. At least 5 years at a senior management or director level with direct responsibility for P&L, team leadership, and engagement with executive stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership in P&L management, budgeting, and commercial finance.
Strong understanding of key financial drivers, contract management, and the broader retail landscape (including trade terms and promotions).
Track record of driving cost efficiencies, process transformation, and implementing governance best practices.
Experience representing the company externally and interfacing with executive and cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills; adept at motivating teams and managing in a matrix environment.
High resilience, bias for action, strategic vision, and willingness to engage both in detail and in big-picture thinking.
Proven ability to inspire, develop, and lead diverse teams at both local and regional level
Salary: $325,000-$375,000 annually + bonus opportunity
