As a Vice President, Product Manager on the Chase Zelle team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality payment solutions by guiding cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle. You will collaborate with these teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensure operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Job responsibilities
- Develop a product strategy and vision that delivers value to customers
- Manage discovery, execution, and market research to uncover customer needs and integrate them into the product roadmap
- Own, maintain, and prioritize a product backlog that enables Product Owners to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
- Lead a team of Product Managers and Associates to execute on the product vision
- Serve as a center of knowledge — maintain deep curiosity about product controls and monitoring, set the standard for the team's controls environment, and drive and strengthen the control framework
- Manage key relationships — partner with engineering, architecture, product, control and compliance, and data analytics stakeholders to drive decision-making
- Communicate effectively and often — share strategy, roadmap, progress, and insights broadly and systematically; craft the narrative and cadence for different partner and stakeholder audiences; and explain the "why" behind your work
- Support agile product delivery, including backlog grooming, launch and go-to-market, production support, and issue, defect, and prioritization resolution
- Monitor performance against goals, scope implementation paths for needed enhancements, and create remediation plans when required
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Risk, Controls, Legal, Compliance) to ensure a strong risk and controls environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team in a product environment
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities, including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with engineers and technical partners, and to translate customer and control needs into clear product delivery or technical requirements
- Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
- Demonstrated ability to build a robust partnership with the Quad (Product, Experience, and Technology / Architecture / Data & Analytics) to achieve superior results
- Demonstrated ability to drive change through influence and collaboration across a matrixed organization in a highly dynamic environment

- Deep understanding of a risk and controls environment — including controls, compliance, and legal engagement — with stakeholders as key end users, plus experience rolling out mission-critical software to the field

- Structured thinker and effective communicator — concise and impactful, with excellent written and oral communication skills
